“BATTLE OF THE BANDS” IMPROV MATCH

4/13/2007

Ottawa, April 16, 2007 – If you’re a fan of music jams, you’re in for a treat on Monday, April 30 at 20:00 in the National Arts Centre (NAC) Fourth Stage. That’s Quebec Scene’s musical improv night, when talented musicians from around the province battle it out in a no-holds-barred competition… and you, the audience, are the judges!

Guest commentators will be none other than Alan Neal, host of CBC’s Bandwidth and Fuse, and Robert Fontaine, CBC’s All in a Day’s film reviewer.

Our fearless competitors are:
Andrée Bilodeau (Les Batinses)
Mathieu Girard (Les Batinses)
Alain Baril (Les Batinses)
Andy Stewart (Les Batinses)
Martien Bélanger (Ex-Machina, Robert Lepage’s theatre company)
Paul Deslauriers
Sam Harrison (Paul Deslauriers)
Grégoire Morency (Paul Deslauriers)
Jean-Denis Levasseur (Orchestre des pas perdus)
Josiane Laberge (Polémil Bazar)
Under the eagle eye of a referee, the musicians, divided into two teams, will spare no effort in blasting out bold, creative and high-energy performances that will get them the audience vote.
